What is gearFX.com?
GearFX.com serves two main functions. First and foremost, it is a medium for my creative expression. It is a living portfolio, a forum for my thoughts, and a sandbox for experiments. Secondly, gearFX.com is your portal to my services. Here you can learn about my design and development services, review my experience, and request quotes for any projects you may have.

What can I find at gearFX.com?
I expect the majority of visitors will be interested in the Need for Speed (NFS) section of the site, where I share and showcase my downloadable NFS cars for Electronic Art's racing game, Need for Speed: High Stakes.

In addition, I have also developed an electronic portfolio of most of my other work, ranging from traditional art and crafts to digital media and 3D design. A collection of my popular photochop renderings are available here.

What can gearFX.com do for me?
Please visit our services section for more insight on our capabilities and interest in serving you!

How do I contact gearFX.com?
Please view my contact section to see how you may reach me.

I hope you enjoy my creation, and please watch this page for information on further site enhancements and updates.

01.05.06  -  gearFX.com has a new host!

Be sure to update your bookmarks and favorites, I have changed hosts so many old addresses will not work anymore (mostly due to conversion from .asp page extensions to .php--thanks Roy!). Hope you enjoy the additional speed, I plan to take advantage of the additional server space to host even more cool stuff.

09.26.05  -  200,000 has come and gone!

Where has the time gone? I haven't updated much on this site lately--I posted some pranks and photochops, but I guess it was enough to draw enough visitors to hit the 200,000 mark finally. I definitely need to redecorate this place and do some housecleaning in 2006.

01.01.05  -  Close but no cigar. Maybe 200,000 visits by 2006?

150,000 total visits since gearFX.com's launch is 50,000 shy of last year's goal, but hey that's still some reasonable traffic! Thanks for coming by in 2004.

12.01.03  -  Another Milestone: 100,000 Visits!

Let's hope for 200,000 visitors in 2004

11.12.03  -  Finally something for folks to see...

After two years (and almost 100,000 visits!), I figure it's about time I threw some work up on my site. The main portfolio is still under construction, but I have uploaded assorted automotive "photochops" for your viewing pleasure here in my "chops" section. The images available online are not the complete "collection," but do represent the majority of loose files I could quickly find on my computer (I know I still have some other good ones buried several directories down on my hard drive). Please note that I have not included any of my professional Photoshop renderings from client projects (yet). I may upload some of those in the future once I have been granted permission. In the meantime, enjoy my good-humored raster musings and optical tricks!

07.09.03  -  Where are all the photos?

I know many of you have come to my website looking for pictures of Ford SVT Lightnings or a gallery of all my crazy photoshopped renderings. I presently host all of these images on my website but don't allow public browsing of that particular directory. Due to popular demand though, I will create a separate website/gallery for my Lightning photographs and add a section to my portfolio for the "photochops." I'll announce when these site features are ready - in the mean time I want to thank you for visiting gearFX.com.

04.09.03  -  50,000 Visits And Over a Million Hits

But there's really nothing to see here yet! Thanks for being patient, and please pardon my dust (from both construction and inactivity!).

12.18.02  -  30,000 Visits And Counting

That's averaging 5,000 additional visits each month. I know there's still not a lot to see here yet, but I plan to work on my portfolio and update other parts of the site over the holidays. I have big plans for 2003!

10.24.02  -  20,000 Site Visits!

gearFX.com saw its 20,000th visit last night! With over 100,000 hits per week and almost 1 million hits since the site was launched, this site must be making a splash with someone out there.

9.09.02  -  GearFX.com Host Transfer Successful!

Despite a brief interruption in service, gearFX.com is now back online. Initial impressions indicate that my site loads much faster now, but I would appreciate any feedback about browsing and download speeds (especially from overseas). I think everything is working, but please report any errors or missing pages, files, or images to me via email.

9.06.02  -  GearFX.com is Moving!

I have just switched my website to a different host, so please excuse any downtime this site may experience in the next 24-48 hours. I expect gearFX.com to be totally transitioned by the end of this weekend. I am hoping it will load a little faster for everyone, so please let me know what you think after Monday (September 9).

7.23.02  -  Just Started My Own Blog

I know it may just be a fad, but I figure I'll jump on the bandwagon and share some of my thoughts and interesting links here (NOTE: not available at this time).

8.23.02  -  10,000 Site Visits!

gearFX.com was visited for the 10,000th time this past weekend!

7.23.02  -  Web Design Portfolio Now Available

The first installment of my online portfolio has been completed. Check out some of my web work here. Other portions of my portfolio will be uploaded over the next few weeks as I find time to work on them - stay tuned.

6.28.02  -  Some House Cleaning

While the site launch went relatively smoothly, there were some minor technical glitches and hiccups. First I converted all of my HTML pages to ASP to facilitate additional functionality, but I got a little too excited with the global Find/Replace tool in TextPad and accidentally changed too much code. The NFS car review and rating system wasn't sorting reviews by date correctly, and the review counter was not updating whenever I deleted an extra post manually. Those items have been fixed so hopefully all of the major issues have been resolved now, but please report any other abnormalities or problems to me via email. I also added a couple enhancements that most visitors probably won't notice (NFS car rating score descriptions, custom Error pages with Site Index, etc.). GearFX.com will experience some growing pains, but I promise to stay on top of any issues as they come to my attention.

6.23.02  -  W E L C O M E !

After months of development, gearFX.com 1.0 is finally live! (Thanks Roy for all the help!) Some parts of the site (portfolio) are still under construction, but most of gearFX.com is now accessible.
