Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport

Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport (ATL) is located an hour from the wedding site at Carl House. The Hilton Garden Inn is located almost 1.5 hours away from the airport, and is half an hour from the Carl House. Please make your travel plans accordingly.

  1. Follow airport exit signs to I-85 North (toward Atlanta)
  2. Continue on I-85 for 33 miles
  3. Take right fork to Hwy 316 East (toward Lawrenceville/Athens)
  4. Follow Hwy 316 for 11 miles, until you come to an intersection with a traffic light at Winder Hwy / Hwy 29 / Business 8 (also called Atlanta Hwy). You will see a QuikTrip gas station on your left.
  5. Turn left, toward Dacula, Auburn and Carl
  6. Go 7.2 miles and Carl House will be on your right, at 1176 Atlanta Hwy

  1. Follow airport exit signs to I-85 North (toward Atlanta)
  2. Continue on I-85 for 33 miles
  3. Take right fork to Hwy 316 East (toward Lawrenceville/Athens)
  4. Follow Hwy 316 for 39.5 miles
  5. Take exit ramp for US-29 North/US-78 East to Univ of Georgia (if you see Lowe's and Wal-Mart, you've gone too far and already passed the exit ramp)
  6. Continue on the "Bypass Loop" (US-78/GA-10) for 6.6 miles
  7. Take Exit 8 to Downtown Athens/Athens Airport
  8. Turn left onto Oconee St
  9. Go .4 miles, and Oconee St turns into Oak St (US-78-BR)
  10. Continue on US-78-BR for another mile
  11. At 5-way intersection, turn right at N Thomas St and the Hilton Garden Inn will be on your left after one block.
